BRUCE JONES - Bob
BRUCE JONES began his acting career as a nine-year-old in the local
scout troop and later paid his own way through drama school. He
is now most familiar to TV audiences around the world as CORONATION
STREET'S loveable rogue LES BATTERSBY. He has appeared in a number
of other series, including A TOUCH OF FROST, HEARTBEAT, BAND OF
GOLD and BROOKSIDE. He was also a member of the regular ensemble
cast of ROUGHNECKS. Director Ken Loach cast him as Bob (!) in RAINING
STONES which won the Special Jury Award in Cannes. Subsequent movie
roles have seen Bruce appear in THE FULL MONTY and Shane Meadows'
TWENTY FOUR SEVEN.

CHARLOTTE JONES - Angela
After early training, CHARLOTTE JONES joined the renowned Oldham
Theatre Workshop, under the direction of David Johnson and played
leads in several theatre productions in number one venues. At the
same time she was gaining valuable television experience by way
of corporate videos for leading names and minor television roles.
BOB'S WEEKEND was Charlotte's
first professional film role, which she landed, in her final year
at The North Cheshire Theatre College in Manchester. She has subsequently
gone on to appear in HOLLYOAKS and BBC's hit show COPS in addition
to touring the country with her own Theatre in Education projects.

BRIAN GLOVER - The Boss
BRIAN GLOVER was a teacher, then a professional wrestler before
he made his acting debut in Ken Loach's KES. A season with the RSC
followed as well television and films including BRITANNIA HOSPITAL,
AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, THE COMPANY OF WOLVES, ALIEN 3 and
UP N UNDER. His distinctive voice was synonymous with the long running
Tetley Tea Folk television commercials.
Sadly Brian died before the film was released.

RICKY TOMLINSON - Jack
RICKY TOMLINSON played the part of Bobby Grant in
BROOKSIDE for four years and more recently D.C.I. Wise in the highly
acclaimed CRACKER. He is now most recognisable as the slothful Jim
Royle in the award winning BBC TV comedy THE ROYLE FAMILY but also
appeared in the popular CLOCKING OFF, the harrowing HILLSBOROUGH
and the controversial DOCKERS.
Ricky and Bruce Jones have worked together before BOB'S WEEKEND,
including RAINING STONES and the television series ROUGHNECKS. Other
film work includes RIFF RAFF, BUTTERFLY KISS, MIKE BASSETT - ENGLAND
MANAGER. He will soon be seen in 51ST STATE starring opposite Samuel
L Jackson and Robert Carlyle.

ANNA JASKOLKA - Bob's wife
Anna is a versatile actress who has worked with Ken Loach on a
number of occasions, including the award winning RAINING STONES.
Her extensive TV credits include HEARTBEAT, CORONATION STREET and
Clare Curtis in PEAK PRACTICE.
