Hans MathesonHANS MATHESON - Virgil Guppy
Hans Matheson is a prolific new talent on the UK film scene. Still only 24 years old, he has starred in an impressive array of high profile television drama and theatrical feature films. His potential has been recognised in publications such as The Face as a talent to track. His theatrical debut was as Silver Johnnie in Jez Butterworth's acclaimed 'MOJO' which enjoyed a successful run at the Royal Court before being made into a film. Hans' many television appearances include BRAMWELL, POLDARK, WYCLIFFE, FAMILY MONEY and MISTS OF AVALON. His feature film credits include: Eddie in Coky Giedroyc's STELLA DOES TRICKS with Kelly MacDonald; Jimmy Dollen in THE FUTURE LASTS A LONG TIME; Silver Johnnie in MOJO; Luke in STILL CRAZY; Marius, opposite Claire Danes, Uma Thurman and Liam Neeson, in Billie August's LES MISERABLES; Leadboy in TUBE TALES directed by Charles McDougall and Juno in THE INVERSE CANNON. In BODYWORK, Hans plays the lead role of the luckless VIRGIL GUPPY.


Charlotte ColemanCHARLOTTE COLEMAN - Tiffany Shades
Charlotte Coleman has had an impressive career as both a child and adult actor, creating memorable characters such as the incorrigible Marmalade in the TV dramas EDUCATING MARMALADE and DANGER: MARMALADE AT WORK and the unforgettable, dippy Scarlet in FOUR WEDDINGS AND A FUNERAL for which she received a BAFTA nomination as Best Supporting Actress. She has accumulated an impressive list of television credits including: ORANGES ARE NOT THE ONLY FRUIT, for which she was nominated for a BAFTA and was awarded Best Actress by the Royal Television Society, followed by notable appearances in INSPECTOR MORSE and Dennis Potter's BLACK EYES. Her recent film credits include: IF ONLY; BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE; THE SAINT; THE YOUNG POISONERS HANDBOOK. In BODYWORK Charlotte takes the pivotal role of car thief expert TIFFANY SHADES.


Beth WinslettBETH WINSLET - Fiona Money
Having been featured in I.D. Magazine as one of the Exciting New Faces of British Film, Winslet has appeared in Pier's Haggard's COLD ENOUGH FOR SNOW, and David Thaker's THE SCOLD'S BRIDLE opposite Miranda Richardson and Bob Peck. In 1998, she appeared in the radio play THE HAPPINESS FOUNDATION for BBC Radio as well as Simon Callow's production of ROMEO AND JULIET in a charity performance for The Breast Cancer Foundation. BODYWORK is her first feature film.


Peter FerdinandoPETER FERDINANDO - Alexander Gordon
A Londoner born and bred, Peter Ferdinando trained at the Anna Scher Theatre Workshop and the Jack Waltzer Acting Class in New York and London. Ferdinando's theatre credits include HENRY V and THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR with the Royal Shakespeare Company; his many television credits include popular series such as THE BILL, SOLDIER SOLDIER, CASUALTY and LONDON'S BURNING as well as dramas such as SAFEHOUSE, GROWING RICH and BUTTERFLY COLLECTORS. Peter has appeared in films such as TITANIC TOWN, FACE, SOFT TOP HARD SHOULDER and SPOTTERS. In BODYWORK Peter plays ALEXANDER GORDON, the hard done by sidekick of hardman detective Billy Hunch.


Clive RussellCLIVE RUSSELL - Billy Hunch

Clive Russell was raised in Scotland and learned his craft performing everything from fire eating stunts to stand up comedy. He first came to national attention in 1980 in the West End production of AN ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF AN ANARCHIST; he played Edmund in KING LEAR at the Old Vic, joined the RSC for four seasons and the Royal Court for OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD. Since then Clive has been a regular fixture on British television and has worked with many top names in film. His many television performances have been seen in series such as CRACKER, SECONDS OUT, HOPE AND GLORY (with Lenny Henry), HEARTBURN HOTEL and the Channel 4 cult comedy SPACED. He recently starred with Helena Bonham Carter in the critically acclaimed film drama, MARGARET'S MUSEUM; he played Ralph Fiennes fahter in Gillian Armstrong's OSCAR AND LUCINDA; he worked with Morgan Freeman in THE POWER OF ONE, with Rutger Hauer in FATHERLAND and Helen Mirren in THE HAWK. Most recent film work includes ALL FORGOTTEN, and a new Alan Bleasdale adaptation of Dickens' OLIVER TWIST. In BODYWORK, Clive plays the world weary detective, appropriately named BILLY HUNCH.


Lynda BellinghamLYNDA BELLINGHAM - Poppy Fields
Lynda Bellingham, long the British television audience's favourite mum through her enduring role in the famous Oxo ads, has appeared in dozens of film, television and theatre productions. Her films include DON'T GO BREAKING MY HEART with Anthony Edwards, THE ROMANOVS which was filmed on location in Russia, THE SCARLET TUNE, STAND UP VIRGIN SOLDIERS and many others. Her numerous television appearances include regular roles in the popular series ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, DR WHO, SECOND THOUGHTS, THE GENTLE TOUCH, THE PINK MEDICINE SHOW, as well as television productions of plays such as the powerful SISTERS ROSESWEIG. Lynda's passion and talent for comedy has seen her in plays such as STRIPPERS, NOISES OFF, PYGMALION, as well as straight theatre such as RICHARD II. Lynda's role in BODWORK sees her playing jaded but charming prostitute POLLY.
