Richard Janes – Director & Producer

Richard Janes started his career as an actor at the Age of 14. His credits included Mike & Angelo, The Demon Headmaster, Kavanagh QC and Longitude. However it wasn’t long before Richard realised that he wasn’t only interested in being in front of the camera. Graduating in 2001 Richard’s graduation film was nominated for a student Royal Television Society Award. After a short time of working for commercials companies Richard directed his first stage play in the London Fringe. ‘Journey’s End’ a story of troubled men and boys on the front line during World War Two was herald “A real Corker” & “Unmissable”. Fakers is Richard’s first feature film and he is currently working on his second titled “The 9th Passenger” a psychological Horror for UBA and Redbus Pictures.


Claire Bee – Producer

Claire Bee’s film career began producing short films for first time and graduation directors; both with her own company, Kleparski-Bee Productions, and others. Whilst making the short films she has worked with many different teams from commercial operations to the countries top training schools including The National Film & Television School, International Film School and Ravensbourne College. Her production company with fellow Producer Todd Kleparski initially specialised in Producing and Directing documentaries on the British Film Industry. These films enabled her and Todd to develop relationships with some of the UK’s top filmmakers and work with three of the best International Film festivals: Sundance, Venice and London International.


Todd Kleparski – Producer

Todd has been producing, directing and lighting film and television programmes for over nine years. He began his television career as an NBC news studio cameraman while he was studying at the University of Wisconsin. Making his way up through the ranks, he quickly began going on assignment with reporters in the field, becoming one of the regular directors of the six and ten o’clock news. It was while directing the news that Todd’s interest moved in to Documentary filmmaking. His first one hour documentary, “Point Basse”, followed the growth and decline of a small Wisconsin homestead. At only 21 Todd went on to produce, direct, and shoot two further documentaries, Yevgeny and Post 619.


Paul Gerstenberger – Writer

Paul Gerstenberger began writing when he was eleven years old and in 1995, he wrote a short script about the end of the world that made it through to the quarterfinals of the Lloyds Bank Film challenge. A year later, Paul went to The Southampton Institute to study Film. Throughout his degree, he continued to develop his writing, concentrating on feature films. After taking a year out after graduation Paul went back to University to do a Masters degree. He graduated with an MA in Film and Filmmaking in 2001, the same year he wrote Fakers. Since writing Fakers Paul has worked on an eclectic mix of projects, including a children’s film called Elvis The Hamster, a horror film called Sinners and a treatment for David Heyman, producer of the Harry Potter films.


Balazs Bolygo – Director of Photography

Balazs comes from a family of photographers and with his career aspirations sealed subconsciously during childhood, he started out working as a clapper loader, then as a focus puller under many top British lighting cameramen on commercials, music videos and feature films. Eventually he completed his training at the National Film School and has since been working as a cinematographer based in the UK. Balazs’ feature credits include; “It’s All Gone Pete Tong” as well as a number of films as 2nd Unit D.O.P and an extensive list of short films, television dramas, music videos and commercials.


Adam Green – Editor

Adam has been working in the film industry for eleven years, going from film school straight onto Richard Attenborough’s ‘Shadowlands’ as a Production Assistant. He then worked on the Oscar winning ‘Braveheart’, before realising that his passion lay in post-production. His break in the cutting rooms came on ‘Fierce Creatures’. Adam went on to work on Event Horizon, Jakob The Liar and, within three years of starting in the cutting rooms, he was promoted to First Assistant Editor on the BAFTA and Emmy award winning films, Longitude and Shackleton.


Katie Waite – Costume Designer

Katie worked solely in the fashion and music industry before being asked to work on Fakers. She has worked on magazine shoots for ID, GQ, Nylon, Maxim Fashion, and on music videos for bands such as Reef, The Thrills, Westlife, Robbie Williams and many more. Katie still works in fashion and music as a stylist but having caught the film bug she has continued to design for films most recently dressing Nick Moran in American Daylights


Kevin Sargent – Composer

Kevin made his feature debut with a warm and witty orchestral score for Crush, written and directed by John McKay, starring Andie Macdowell. The short film, Killing Joe, which he scored, was nominated for an Academy Award. More recently, he scored two of the BBC’s modern adaptations of Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales.

With an excellent reputation for his work in commercials Kevin’s 'Adidas - Tim Henman' score, featuring counter tenor James Bowman, was a finalist in Best Original Music at the British TV Advertising Craft Awards. Similarly, 'Barclays - Player' featuring Anthony Hopkins and directed by Tony Scott gained top honours from the D&AD and Creative Circle.
