DVD Synopsis Screenings Trailer Reviews Cast Filmmakers

An exuberant, sharply satirical comedy about two parentally neglected teenagers who find the courage to believe in themselves.

The Rage in Placid Lake is written and directed by award-winning writer and theatre director Tony McNamara (Australian Film Institute Winner – Best Screenplay The Beat Manifesto).

McNamara’s original play, from which The Rage in Placid Lake is adapted, was hailed by critics as “screamingly funny” and that McNamara has “a knack for witty and fast-paced dialogue”.

It stars newcomer Ben Lee as Placid Lake alongside Rose Byrne, Miranda Richardson, Garry McDonald and Nicholas Hammond.

“Tony McNamara has conjured an instant cult classic...”
