Director Terence Ryan has written and directed several acclaimed feature films. His first short feature made about the life of the poet Gerard Manley Hopkins was awarded the Finbar Prize for the Best Film at the Cork Film Festival and nominated for the Grierson Award at BAFTA.

He has written and directed films in the genres of comedy, music and social drama including his highly acclaimed series We Matter. His film Going Home was awarded Best Director and Best Film at the Canadian Gemini Awards and Heaven On Earth was awarded Best Film at the Houston Film Festival. In 1991 he directed the feature Hold My Hand I'm Dying starring Oliver Reed. In 1993 he produced The Big Freeze starring Bob Hoskins, Donald Pleasence, Sir john Mills and Spike Milligan.

Ryan is writer, director and producer of The Brylcreem Boys.
